A Richard Frazier Original – Duration: 6’ 53”
The composer spent many happy weekends performing with the Sicilian Marching Band of Chicago. Here he became acquainted with the tradition of Italian symphonic marches. In this original composition, the form unfolds like a scene from The Godfather with gracious melodies for the clarinets, saxophones, and euphonium punctuated by stirring brass fanfares and episodes. This march is dedicated to the vibrant Italian community of North Beach in San Francisco.
